Associate Pastor

Position Title: Associate Pastor

Status:  Full-Time/Exempt, Ministerial

Compensation: Compensation based on experience and national comparable measures 

Benefits: Health Insurance, 403(b) 

Educational Requirements: Preferably Bachelor Degree in Biblical Studies or related field

Experience:   3+ years of experience as a young adult, youth or associate pastor preferred

Location: Sandy Springs, GA 

Reports to: Senior Pastor

Church Summary

 Misty Creek Community Church is an independent, non-denominational, evangelical church located in Sandy Springs, Georgia, a Northern suburb of Atlanta. Originally started in a private home in 2019, the church has grown to a self-sustaining congregation of approximately 100 weekly attendees that meets in its own building (purchased in 2021). Misty Creek’s mission is to Love God, Love people, and Make disciples that make disciples. Led by the holy spirit, we seek to be a community whose life and mission is centered around the Gospel. The church currently is served by a senior pastor, a part-time children’s ministry coordinator and part-time worship leader. 

Spiritual Qualifications

 The Associate Pastor is a godly man continuing to grow and mature in Christ as a person of integrity who meets the Biblical qualifications of eldership and believes the Bible is the inerrant word of God. He must have a strong sense of calling and identity in Christ and is continuing to grow in depth and knowledge of the Gospel and being transformed by it. He must demonstrate a willingness and faithfulness in discipling those around him, whether in the local church context or whomever is in his sphere of influence. His ultimate desire should be the glory of God, and he should see his unique calling in equipping the body of Christ, the local church, for that purpose. 

Primary Responsibility

  • Lead, Shepherd, Teach, Nurture and Grow Young Adult and Youth Ministries

Assist Senior Pastor With

  • Teaching Bible Studies, Sunday School and at Retreats.
  • Preaching multiple times per year.
