“No Tears Left” – 3/31/24 Easter Sunrise Service

"No Tears Left" - 3/31/24 Easter Sunrise Service (featuring a dramatic first person monologue)

Year after year, we celebrate Easter, the day that death was defeated, and our Lord and Savior rose from the dead. If we only focus on that moment, when the stone is rolled away and Jesus is alive, we can miss the impact of the event. Truly, the road to Easter ran through a cemetery. There is the injustice and agony of Jesus' dying on the cross. There are those moments before sunrise when Mary went to the garden to make sure the body was all right. All of these were necessary to get to that moment of joy we know as Easter. Our faith is not insurance against those things that life may bring our way, but it is the assurance of what the last word will be.

Without the power of God that Jesus showed, without the cruelty and pain of Calvary, and without what appeared to be the victory of evil with Jesus sealed in a tomb, we would never truly know the power of the good news or what "He is Alive" means for the reversals of all our sorrows and defeats, pain, and despair. Through the darkness of Good Friday, we are called to walk in the sunshine of Easter. Let His love and grace shine in your life today. Do you know Jesus? Do you want his love and grace to shine in your life? You can have a new life today with endless possibilities.
Grace and Peace,
Stephen
